- How did you get into Robert Cray?

How did you discover the music of Robert Cray? My first experience was the transmission of the Seville Guitar festivals, in the last 80's/early nineties, and was totally blown away by the live version of 'Phone Booth' and 'The Dream'. I was so blown away by his what I think is quite a percussive guitar technique, and also inspired me to buy a US Std strat in a very similar colour to his signature Strat (could not afford the signature one :( ). Even have my trem blocked off! Anyway, after seeing that, my journey started with 'Strong Persuader' and I have not looked back since. Saw the guys live in UK Shepperds Bush for 'Rainy Morning' tour! Cheers, Mark. - What's Your Favorite Robert Cray Album?

For me, it's gotta be 'Twenty' - this was such a breath of fresh air when it arrived, and showed just how versatile Robert is, and his band. The title track is just great, and thought provoking. Looking forward to July 7th 2010 - Robert Cray at the Barbican in London!!!!! - When I first saw Robert Cray

I saw him on the TV during the Seville Guitar festivals, in the last 80's I think, and was blown away by him. I was then lucky enough to see him in London during the 'Some Rainy Morning' tour. Been awaiting another tour since, and now there is one!!!! Hurrah!!! Mark. - Robert and Twitter?

I'd second that! It would be very cool to get updates on what he is up to, and possibly converse with him! How cool would that be! Mark.
